Excellent short SF film created with Unity software

This one is well worth your time. The creators of one of the leading games software packages, Unity, have released a short film called Adam to show off what their software can do. There’s very little dialogue, but the film is an amazing visual experience that tells a great deal with just a few key scenes. The film was rendered in real time with the Unity Game engine. It uses a yet to be released “cinematic sequencer tool”.

As well as creating 2D and 3D games, Unity is being used by almost every Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality developer. By learning Unity, you can create Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Hololens and Magic Leap apps, even though some of these devices have yet to be released.

Unity’s demo team developed custom tools and features to make the film, including volumetric fog, a transparency shader, and motion blur to cover specific needs. Along with the cinematic sequencer tool, they plan to release these software tools for Unity users soon.

It’s short but impressive. Watch it now.
